RedEdge contributes to Greece's National Microsatellite Programme

RedEdge has completed its work on Greece's National Microsatellite Programme, contributing SAR co-registration pipelines as a subcontractor.

RedEdge has completed its work on Axis 1.2 of Greece’s National Microsatellite Programme, the country’s main national effort to build its own space capability. Led by ICEYE, in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence and the European Space Agency (ESA), this part of the programme placed two fully operational synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites in orbit. They are the country’s first, and the work finished ahead of schedule.

RedEdge took part as a subcontractor on the processing side. We designed and built high-accuracy SAR co-registration pipelines, so that images from different passes line up precisely and arrive analysis-ready for the services that depend on them.

We were glad to work alongside ICEYE Hellas on a programme that builds Greece’s own space capability.
